Select the right sports bra

Category: Uncategorized |

If you are very sportive, it might be a good idea to invest in some great sports bras: they keep your breasts where they should be, and make sure that your breasts won’t jump around. It also makes your breasts look better; if you play sports without wearing a sports bra, your connective tissue can weaken, which will eventually lead to sagging breasts.

What sports bra suits me?

Wearing a sports bra is important, but how do you know which one is the right one for you? It all starts with finding the right size. Do not buy any bra without knowing your size. You can measure this yourself, but you can also ask advice from a store clerk.

Then, find out what type of bra you need. Or even better: think about what you want your bra to do for you. For example:

  • Minimizing effect; makes your breasts look smaller
  • Harness; keeps your breasts tightly constricted and prevents shaking breasts
  • Push-up; pushes your breasts up for a nice cleavage
  • Natural appearance; supports like a sports bra, but it looks like a regular bra

If you know the answers to these questions, you are ready to take the next step: buy bras! You can do this online, but it would be better if you could try them on before buying. Therefore, it might be easier to visit a sports wear shop or a lingerie shop. Select a few bras, based on your requirements, and try them on. And don’t forget to jump up and down in the dressing room; that way you will immediately know if they work as well as they should!

Get rid of slippery bra straps!

Category: Uncategorized |

Almost every woman has to deal with it now and then, and for most of them, it is without a doubt a real frustration: slippery bra straps. Straps often get slippery during the summer. The warmth makes you sweat more, and the straps become a bit more slippery than usual. As a result, your straps seem to play peek-a-boo with your clothing. That looks awkward and sometimes even a bit sloppy. In any case, it does not leave the impression that you would like to make!

Tightening your bra straps is a possibility, but it is not the best way. The straps can cut into your skin, which is painful and uncomfortable. It also can result in ugly welts and in some cases it can even lead to (mild) back pain.

The best option is finding special tape or bearers that keep straps in place, without cutting into your skin. These are for sale in most lingerie shops. Just place the bearers or tape below the straps and they will keep your straps in place and at the same time protect your shoulders against welts. If you want, you can still tighten the straps a bit.

Of course, straps or bearers will be of no use if you don’t get the right bra size. Therefore, always find out first what size you are wearing. You can measure this yourself. Also: try on a bra before you buy it and see if it fits well. Size isn’t everything: sometimes it is better to try something on. Take your time, you will certainly benefit from it!
